You don't need prior SMT experience. The machine handles 0402 components out of the box. Software setup is straightforward. Most users are placing components within their first day.
Start with your own boards. Get comfortable. When you're ready to take on outside work, you'll know. There's no rush and no deadline.

Do I have to accept jobs?
Not at all. This is completely voluntary. We'll send inquiries your way, but you're free to say yes or no based on your schedule and interest.
How much should I charge?
That's between you and the customer. We don't set rates or take a cut. You negotiate based on the job, your time, and what makes sense locally.
What if I'm brand new to this?
Perfect. Our machine is designed for first-time users. Start with your own projects, get comfortable, and take on outside work when you're ready.
What if I already own a pick and place machine?
You can still join. Some users run multiple machines or use ours for specific component sizes or backup capacity.
How do you match customers to machine owners?
By location. We prioritize the closest match—same city first, then region, then country. Local connections work better for everyone.
Is there any cost to join the program?
No. Joining XAutoLab Connect is free. The only requirement is owning an XAutoLab machine. Everything else is completely optional.
